So you have booked your photo shoot. Now what?! Well aside from figuring out wardrobe, for which I will be helping you with, you have to take care of you!!
Many women are always asking me about what to do prior to their shoot to look and feel their best. Here are my quick tips:
Drink lots of water. It is counter-intuitive but staying properly hydrated helps keep bloating down. It also makes your skin glow! Did you know that you should be drinking 1/2 your body weight in ounces of water? Here's the math.... I weigh 150LB. 1/2 that is 75LB. I try to drink 75oz of water per day. YIKES!
Moisturize! It is all about that glowing skin. Especially in the winter months. Naturally glowing skin is always better than retouched skin in Photoshop.
Get a good night's rest. The week of your session, make sure you are hitting the hay at a reasonable hour. I don't want you trying to take a nap on the bed set hahaha!
Stretch!! YOU WILL BE SORE after our session. We work to accentuate curves, so your abs, sides, booty and low back will be sore. My favorite stretches are Mermaid, Cat Back, Cow Belly and anything to get those shoulders loose!
Get'ya nails did. Your hands and feet are a big part of the shoot. I tend to shoot barefoot unless your wardrobe calls for a sexy heel. You will have your hands all over yourself. If you having chipping/old polish, just take it off. If you want color, do something neutral as not to be too distracting unless you want it to be a statement throughout the sesh.
